Directed by the twisted twins, Jen and Sylvia Soska, the film tells the tale of a med student, Mary Mason (Katherine Isabelle), who is working towards becoming a surgeon but decides to pay her bills by doing body modification. American Mary takes the horror film into new directions and talks about such things as body image, ambition and more.
