DeleteFunny you mention wanting to see Eric Bogosian play Lenny Bruce... If you manage to track down WITCH HUNT (sequel to the HBO movie CAST A DEADLY SPELL), directed by Paul Schrader, Bogosian ends up playing a Lenny Bruce type character for a few minutes.
ReplyDeleteGood to hear the two of you together again! :) It's clear that this movie is personal to Rob, so I won't comment on it. Bogosian's Talk Radio is where it's at for me. I will say that the interview with Mr. Moyle was lots of fun. I just wish you asked him about the name of the school. Hubert Humphrey was part of the problem in 1968, so I wonder if the choice of his name for the school was intentional. Anyway, here's a few fun links with top 10 radio DJ movies. www.amc.com/talk/2009/11/classic-ten-r-3 http://www.vigilantedetective.com/top-10-radio-movies/ http://www.pastemagazine.com/articles/2014/12/mixed-media.html http://kmhk.com/the-best-movies-about-radio-djs/
ReplyDeleteBy the way, can you imagine this movie with Cusack instead of Slater? Also, Mike should see Very Bad Things (1998). Slater turns heel in that nifty little thriller.
Incidentally, Slater was also in another teen rebel movie - The Legend of Billie Jean. By the way, anyone still remembers Turk 182! (1985)?
