For the final episode of 2015, we look at Mike Hodges's 1971 feature film debut, Get Carter starring Michael Caine as Jack Carter, a mobster from London who travels back to Newcastle after the suspicious death of his brother.

We talk to Mike Hodges along with the director of Hit Man, George Armitage, and of the 2000 remake, Stephen Kay. We also discuss Get Carter with actor John C. McGinley. Mike is joined by Eric Zaldivar and Maitland McDonagh.

Episode 62: Miami Blues (1990)

Real badge. Real gun. Fake cop. That's Miami Blues in six words but there's so much more than that to this terrific adaptation of Charles Willeford's work by George Armitage. The film stars Fred Ward as Hoke Mosely, a cantankerous Miami detective who's trying to find Freddy Frenger Jr (Alec Baldwin), the killer of a hare krishna.

We're joined in the Projection Booth this week by author Scott Phillips (The Ice Harvest, The Adjustment, The Walkaway, etc) as our special guest co-host.
