We wrap up the first of a few Request Months with one from Brian Tessitore, The Graduate. The 1967 Mike Nichols film stars Dustin Hoffman as Benjamin Braddock, the titular graduate. He's adrift after college and falls into an affair with Mrs. Robinson (Anne Bancroft), a family friend.

Keith Gordon and Katharine Coldiron join Mike to discuss the seminal film along with homages and the "sequel," Rumor Has It. Beverly Gray, author of Seduced by Mrs. Robinson: How the Graduate Became the Touchstone of a Generation, talks about her work including her time on Death Race 2000.

Episode 444: The Man Who Fell to Earth (1976)

We kick off Sci-Fi December with a look at Nicolas Roeg's The Man Who Fell to Earth (1976). Based on the book by , the film stars David Bowie as Thomas Jerome Newton, a strange man who appears in the office of a patent attorney (Buck Henry) with some big ideas that help him start on the road to untold wealth. Along the way he meets colorful characters such as hotel worker Mary Lou (Candy Clark) and lascivious college professor Bryce (Rip Torn).

Samm Deighan and Skizz Cyzyk join Mike to discuss the film and its made-for-TV remake. The episode includes interviews with authors Sam Umland (The Man Who Fell to Earth) and Susan Compo (Earthbound: David Bowie and the Man Who Fell to Earth).
