Great podcast, loved the interview especially. I thought the Rockford Files is as you say somewhat similar too, two dysfunctional single PIs!

This is the episode that made me fall in love with this podcast. Definitely the best cinema podcast out there. I'm always looking for an excuse to go on a long drive so I can listen and learn so many new things about my favourite films. Just finished listening to The Piano Teacher episode and it really opened my mind up to some new ways of looking at that film, can't wait to re-watch it!
