  2. Great episode, great movie. I really enjoyed the Coroso character and thought it one of JD's best roles. The book-detective who encounters supernatural events is made for TV, shades of Kolchak no? I never pictured JD in a role like this, but his dry book geek performance is spot on ... I couldn't help but laugh when he's in his kitchen and he sticks the frozen dinner in the microwave box and all! Speaking of end credits music, Sumi Jo is amazing and definitely tops Annie Lennox at the end of Coppolla's Dracula.
9th Gate makes me wish book-detective noir was more of a genre, and had hoped JD might reprise this role. I also liked Jean Reno in "Crimson Rivers" as another detective encountering quasi-supernatural events. But yeah, 9th Gate great pick Mike!
