Episode 236: Dr. Caligari (1989)

Special Guests: Stephen Sayadian &
Guest Co-Host: Heather Drain

We see you looking at us... We're discussing the 1989 film, Dr. Caligari. Directed by Stephen Sayadian and co-written by Jerry Stahl, the film is the third in a series of sexy, surrealistic films. It's the tale of Mrs. Van Houten (Laura Albert), a patient at the CIA -- Caligari Insane Asylum -- run by the granddaughter of the infamous German doctor.

Our good friend Heather Drain takes over the co-host chair this week.

  1. Great episode! I especially appreciated the interview with the fascinating Stephen Sayadian (glad that you finally got to talk to him).

My only problem with the episode was Heather Drain. Don't get me wrong, It wasn't anything she said but that her freaking smoke detector kept chirping every minute or so.

Whatever, I'm drunk... Thanks for introducing me to Stephen Sayadian's work and keep fighting the good fight.

  2. The still of Fox Harris in Fangoria? I vividly remember the green tape holding the plate together.
