  1. This was another great interview. Candida Royalle certainly has blazed a unique path in the adult industry. I have also enjoyed the interviews with other adult film stars in previous episodes. Georgina Spelvin certainly had an eventful life before appearing in films during the 1970s. I found Shaun Costello's account of working for mobsters quite entertaining. In addition, his transition to making commercials was interesting. Sharon Mitchell, of course, has worn many hats in the industry.

With the marginalization of the adult movie industry in American society, the history of the industry is not being well chronicled by academia or mainstream media. Moreover, the underground nature of adult film production during its early period ensured relatively few records were created for others to study. Consequently, the accounts of the people who participated in the industry are a vital source of information about its history. Thank you for bringing a little bit of this history to your listeners.

    1. Thanks for the kind words. We couldn't agree more! They deserve to have their histories told - it is important to American/world culture that these people pushed the limits (some went to jail for it) to open up a new fortier in media.

I'm hoping a campaign will get off the ground soon to give these films the recognition they so truly deserve.

      All the best,

  2. Great informative interview. Lots to think about. The last 1/2 hour could've gone missing.
