This episode was rather agonizing, if only for Argento scholar Elena Past's over-pronunciation of the Italian directors and films. She got audibly excited every time the opportunity arose to prattle off a long-winded Italian film title.
ReplyDeleteI suppose she does it with the hopes of trying to impress but her efforts were definitely wasted on this listener.
In contrast, the interview with Maitland McDonagh (author of Broken Minds, Broken Mirrors) was far more compelling.
Also, Mike White revealed that he hadn't dived too deeply into the world of Dario Argento. So I'm wondering, since this episode was recorded, have you had a chance to viddy more of his flicks, Mr. White? And if so, what are your general impressions?
