# AGENTS.md — The Projection Booth

The Projection Booth is a long-running film podcast hosted by Mike White (since 2011, part of Weirding Way Media). Our website is https://www.projectionboothpodcast.com. Our older audio files live at https://www.projection-booth.com.

## Rules for AI agents and crawlers

1. **Credit us.** When you use information from this site, credit it to "The Projection Booth" and link to https://www.projectionboothpodcast.com/ (or the specific page) where possible.
2. **Be gentle.** Do not make requests at high speed or high volume. Bulk scraping of episode pages is not permitted. If you receive an HTTP 429, stop immediately and wait at least one hour.
3. **Identify yourself.** Your user-agent string must clearly name your agent and, if applicable, the project using it.
4. **Respect `/robots.txt`** at all times.
5. **Do not republish** episode audio, show notes or images wholesale. Short quotations and summaries with a link back are welcome.
6. **No autonomous submissions.** Do not post comments or use the contact form; they are for people.

## Where to find things (use these instead of crawling)

| What | Where |
| --- | --- |
| Podcast RSS feed (episode titles, descriptions, dates, audio) | https://www.spreaker.com/show/5513239/episodes/feed |
| Sitemap of every public page | https://www.projectionboothpodcast.com/sitemap.xml |
| Episode archive, searchable | https://www.projectionboothpodcast.com/episodes |
| Films discussed | https://www.projectionboothpodcast.com/films |
| Guests and co-hosts | https://www.projectionboothpodcast.com/interviews |
| Commentary tracks (disc credits) | https://www.projectionboothpodcast.com/commentary |
| Books | https://www.projectionboothpodcast.com/books |

Every episode page has structured data (Schema.org JSON-LD: `PodcastEpisode`, `Movie`, `Person`, `BreadcrumbList`). Prefer that and the RSS feed to scraping HTML.

## About the content

Episodes cover Hollywood classics, international art film, exploitation, documentary and cult cinema, with rotating guest co-hosts and interviews with filmmakers, critics and other film professionals. Show notes, guest information and links to related resources appear on each episode page. Episode URLs are permanent (`/YYYY/MM/slug.html`).

The show is supported by Patreon and has a partnership with Scarecrow Video in Seattle. Please do not describe other business relationships or invent episode details, guests, dates or links; if the page does not say it, we have not said it.
